Academic climate is the important prerequisite for academic success of an educational institutions. To see the present status of academic climate of secondary schools in relation to academic achievement, the present study is undertaken. Academic climate perceptions was studied in terms of location of schools and sex of the students. A sample of 100 students of IX standard of provincialized secondary schools, Darrang District of Assam have been selected by simple random sampling techniques. The data was collected by employing Academic Climate Description Questionnaire (ACDQ) by Shah, M.L. and Shaha, A. and Academic Achievement Data Sheet constructed by the investigator. The study revealed that (i) Secondary Schools shows an average academic climate. (ii) Academic climate perceptions of students of urban and rural schools differed. (iii) The academic climate perceptions do not differed significantly between boys and girls.

The research attempts to study the consumer buying behavior of cosmetic products in an Indian settings , specifically with reference to Kolhapur .The purpose of this paper is to investigate the various factors that has impact on buying decision of consumers. In this paper, respondents were selected by convenient sampling method and data was analyzed and interpreted with the help of statistical techniques. The study reveals that different factors have significant influence on buying behavior. Introduction: Identity is one of the most important topics of adolescence. Identity is a construct of psychological-social formation where the seeds are sprinkled in the years before adolescence. The main characteristics of identity are choosing values, beliefs and purpose of life. Objective: Therefore, fostering and strengthening academic achievement cannot be enabled unless by finding effective and confounding factors, so in this study the relationship between two variables of identity and anxiety with the academic achievement is investigated. Methods: The subjects were 390 high school students, and selected through random sampling among the schools in Rasht, and completed identity questionnaires of Burzynski, Goldenberg and Hillier’s mental health questionnaire, and McInerny and Sinclair academic motivation test. Results: The results showed negative correlated of (r=-0/28) between identity styles in girls of Rasht high schools and anxiety , that is significant relationship (p<0/001).There is a negative correlated (r=0/72) between Anxiety and pursued of female high school students of Rasht that is a statistically significant and positive relationship (p<0/001).

There seems to be no end to the 16-year-old war over the controversial Sethusamudram project. The project involves dredging the stretch of water between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka to make it navigable for ships. At present, this is not possible; the water depth being only a few metres. The project envisages dredging of a ship in the shallow portion of the sea to connect the gulf of mannar and the bay of Bengal through the palk bay. This would provide a continuous na vigable sea route around the Indian peninsula channel .It is pointed out that though Indian subcontinent southern part is surrounded by sea. the coast of India does not have a continuous navigation channel connecting the east and west coasts.
