Time and time again, different economic uplifting programmes are launched by the concerning Ministry of Finance and Reserve Bank of India for inclusive development. But unfortunately no sustainable efforts are being noticed for uplift of the economy of the slum dwellers residing in cities and towns. This paper is an academic exercise to make an attempt to study the nature of deprival from the various schemes of financial inclusion on the identified slum dwellers in Assam.

Herein lies the need and relevance of Satyagraha as it is based on unfailing virtues like truth, love of mankind, non-violence, moral integrity and spirituality. In modern times there appears no other option but Gandhian ideology for the survival and progress of mankind.

Personality is the particular combination of emotional, attitudinal, and behavioural response patterns of an individual. Motor ability is the ability to perform fundamental motor skills involving all basic performances traits. The purpose of the study was to assess motor abilities, personality characteristics of class ix students of Agricultural & Industrial male students of class ix, correlate motor ability with their personality characteristics of Agricultural & industrial town male students and compare the motor ability & personality characteristics of agricultural town & industrial town male students. For this study one hundred & twenty male students were selected of class ix from different district of West Bengal. Personal data like age, height, weight were taken. Motor abilities – zigzag run, standing broad jump & 6lbs medicine ball put were measured. And the personality was measured with the help of standardized questionnaire. Analysis of the data by using Mean, S.D., Co-efficient of correlation & ‘t’ value.

Learning language must understand the culture and understand culture must understand the language. Nevertheless for many teachers, the culture of teaching is still a pretty new concept, from the perspective of cross- cultural study. In a foreign language teaching, (especially English) teaching culture and language should be of the same stature to enhance student’s sensitivity to cultural differences, reduce cultural errors and pragmatic failures. This paper describes how to combine classroom culture teaching to help students in the language learning process for a better understanding of Indian and Western culture .It also talks about cross- cultural communication in English language teaching in India with some new basic concepts.

Many elderly women in India suffer from poverty, isolation and social exclusion. In particular, elderly widowed women are often denied even basic rights such as food, health-care and are thrown out of their homes by their families. Thousands of such aged widows congregate in India's holy city, Vrindavan, where they usually spend the rest of their lives in austerity, begging for food and living in hovels with no electricity and running water.
